Job Title: General Manager – Domestic

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos (with frequent travels)

Reports to: CEO

Role Summary

Passron Enterprises Limited is a rapidly growing trading and company active in Oil & Gas (AGO, Jet fuel, PMS, LPG, LNG), Fertilizers (Urea, NPK, DAP), and general commodity trading, with increasing domestic and cross-border cargo operations. We seek a strategic, commercially focused General Manager to lead business development, oversee all cargo (import, export & domestic), coordinate internal teams, strengthen company-wide operations, and drive profitability across all units. The ideal candidate has 10+ years’ senior leadership experience in trading, supply chain, logistics, cargo operations, or agro/ Oil &Gas markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Commercial Growth

•    Lead business development across Oil & Gas, fertilizer/agro-products, and commodities.

•     Identify and close new commercial opportunities, partnerships, and long-term supply contracts.

•    Drive growth in domestic and international markets through structured expansion

strategies.

•    Lead high-value negotiations with suppliers, terminals, international traders, and large

off-takers.

2. Cargo, Import/Export & Domestic Operations

•     Oversee all cargo operations including import, export, inland distribution, and domestic movement.

•    Ensure full compliance with customs, ports, shipping, maritime, and international trade

regulations.

•    Strengthen cargo documentation, scheduling, freight optimization, and tracking systems.

•     Reduce cargo turnaround time and logistics costs through process improvements and vendor oversight.

3. Team Leadership & Operational Excellence

•     Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of trade, logistics, and sales operations.

•    Set clear direction, performance expectations, and maintain accountability across all

departments.

•     Streamline departmental structures, implement SOPs, workflows, and reporting systems to optimize efficiency.

•     Foster collaboration across operations, finance, sales, and compliance teams to achieve company objectives.

•     Monitor performance, address gaps through coaching, and resolve operational challenges promptly to sustain business continuity and alignment with strategic goals.

4. Financial Management & Reporting

•    Oversee budgets, P&L, cash flow, margins, and overall financial stability.

•    Implement strong cost-control, risk management, and working capital processes.

•     Provide timely and accurate reports: revenue results, cargo updates, sales pipeline, cashflow status, and market insights.

5. Stakeholder, Market & Regulatory Engagement

•     Build productive relationships with regulators, terminals, depots, international partners, and major clients.

•    Monitor global and local market trends to provide strategic guidance.

•    Represent Passron at industry events and international trade forums.

Requirements (Must-Haves)

•     Minimum 10 years’ senior leadership in Oil & Gas, fertilizer/agro, commodity trading, cargo/logistics, or supply chain.

•    Strong track record in business development and revenue growth.

•     Hands-on experience in import/export, cargo documentation, customs processes, shipping operations, and domestic logistics.

•    Proven ability to structure and manage multi-department operations.

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Agriculture, or related field; MBA

is an advantage.

•    Strong financial acumen: P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.

•    Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

•    Ability to travel frequently.

Preferred Experience

•    International trading or cross-border supply chain management.

•     Deep knowledge of Incoterms, shipping documents, letters of credit, vessel/truck coordination.

•    Experience in fertilizer/agro-input trading or petroleum product distribution.

•    Use of ERP/CRM systems for operations and reporting.
