      General Manager

      Job Description: General Manager, Domestic Trade (Soft Commodities)

      Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer or Chief Executive Officer

      Job Purpose: Provide strategic leadership for all domestic trading of agricultural soft commodities driving volume growth, margin improvement, and operational excellence.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Strategic Planning & Business Development
      • Define and execute domestic-trade strategy: market segmentation, channel development, and pricing.
      • Identify and onboard new off-takers (e.g., food manufacturers, commodity brokers).
      • P&L Ownership
      • Responsible for P&L, working-capital, and margin targets.
      • Monitor and report on financial performance vs. budgets.
      • Leadership & Organization
      • Lead cross-functional teams: trade, operations, finance, quality, and marketing.
      • Build talent pipeline and succession plans.
      • Risk & Compliance
      • Ensure adherence to all statutory, trading, and quality regulations.
      • Oversee credit terms, trade-finance structures, and risk-mitigation frameworks.
      • Stakeholder Engagement
      • Represent the company with key customers, regulators, and industry associations.
      • Forge partnerships with mills, cooperatives, and logistics providers.

      Qualifications & Experience

      • Master’s degree (MBA preferred) with 10+ years in senior trading or General Manager roles in agriculture/commodities.
      • Demonstrated success in scaling domestic-trade businesses.
