Job Purpose / Summary
The IT Specialist at Passron Enterprises Limited is responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems, networks, hardware, and software operate efficiently and securely. This role supports both day-to-day IT operations and strategic technology initiatives, enabling business continuity, data protection, and improved productivity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure & System Support
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, printers, and other hardware.
• Provide first- and second-level IT support to employees, troubleshooting technical issues promptly.
• Manage system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all IT equipment and software are properly licensed and maintained.
Network & Security Management
• Oversee LAN/WAN network performance, internet connectivity, and VPN access.
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect data, systems, and networks.
• Regularly back up company data and test disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (NDPR – Nigeria Data Protection Regulation). - Software & Applications
• Manage and support business applications (e.g., ERP, HRM systems like NotchHR, accounting software, CRM tools).
• Train staff on new software and technology updates.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve business operations. - User Support & Training
• Provide helpdesk support for IT-related issues and resolve problems within agreed timelines.
• Conduct user training sessions on IT best practices, cybersecurity awareness, and system use.
• Develop and update IT policies, manuals, and user guides. - Strategic IT Projects
• Work with management to align IT initiatives with business goals.
• Research, recommend, and implement new IT solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
• Support digital transformation initiatives, including cloud solutions and e-commerce integrations.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Technical Expertise
• 5+ years’ proven experience as an IT Specialist or System Administrator, with strong background in ERP support, system integration, database management, and website development.
• Skilled in Windows/Linux OS, Office 365, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and cybersecurity tools.
• Proficient in database management (SQL/Oracle) and web technologies (WordPress, HTML/CSS, JavaScript or similar).
