About the Role
We are seeking a high-capacity Sales Manager to lead and expand our commercial operations in the Oil & Gas sector (AGO, PMS, LPG, LNG, Jet Fuel). The successful candidate will be
responsible for driving revenue growth, managing strategic accounts, leading contract negotiations, and strengthening our market position through proactive sales strategies. This is a senior, high-impact role requiring proven expertise in large-scale sales, commercial execution, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, engage, and close high-value B2B clients for petroleum products and domestic commodities.
• Manage and grow strategic accounts to maximize volumes, margins, and long-term
partnerships.
• Lead pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and payment-term agreements with industrial clients.
• Maintain and forecast a strong sales pipeline; report performance and opportunities to executive management.
• Monitor domestic market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and supply conditions to
inform strategy.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Compliance to ensure seamless execution.
• Oversee credit vetting, enforce payment terms, and support collections.
• Prepare and manage all commercial documentation (sales contracts, invoices, POs, delivery notes).
• Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and client meetings to
strengthen brand presence.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ senior-level experience in Oil & Gas sales, depot operations, or domestic commodity trading.
• Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and managing high-value accounts.
• Extensive network with industrial buyers, depots, and distributors across Nigeria.
• Strong negotiation, deal-closing, and commercial analysis skills.
• Deep knowledge of petroleum supply chains, domestic pricing structures, credit terms, and trade risks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and executive-level reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Nigeria.
Preferred Experience
• Experience with large-volume fuel supply, depot operations, and multi-party contract execution.
• Knowledge of Nigerian regulatory frameworks, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Exposure to cross-functional commercial and operational strategy.
